Steph and Luke got married at Tarrywile Mansion in Danbury, CT. I LOVE these two. They are the exact reason as to why I chose to do wedding photography when figuring out the direction to take my photography in. Two people in love, that have a strong mutual respect for each other, have great style, but mostly, are genuinely in love. I had such a blast photographing them as well as their family and friends. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and this was a tree full of lots of people just like Steph and Luke! It made the day so enjoyable that I kind of left feeling guilty for how fun it was! I really love what I do! Can’t beat it!

Nicole and Tim were married at The Candlewood Inn in Brookfield, CT. Nicole and I went to elementary school at St. Gregory’s a while back. I think I was in a grade or two above her. That’s right. An old fogey I am! We were never friends in elementary school or high school, but I knew of her. I LOVED Nicole and Tim’s day. I think everything went so perfectly because they have good karma! They are two of the most laid back, friendliest people I have ever met! They really get each other and they know how to have fun!

My favorites start off with a photo of her parent’s pet peacock! How cool was this! I pulled up in the driveway of her mom and dad’s home to see a peacock! So I went inside and was so excited about how they happened to have a peacock hanging out in their yard the day Nicole is getting married. I guess it was old news to everyone else! ;o)

Getting back to Nicole and Tim’s wedding…her mom helping  her dad get ready. very sweet.

I have to comment on the flower pick to the left…taken at ISO 1200 with no extra lighting other than what was available in the bridal suite at the Candlewood Inn. Never could have shot that at 1200 on my D2x and have it be a color photo.

Nicole and Tim chose to see each other before the ceremony. This allowed us to take some great relaxed formals during the golden  hour. We were actually going to start with the family photos first but since the family wasn’t ready and it was a bit chilly for the grandparents, we switched it up and I took full advantage of the golden hour! Things just seem to work out when you go with the flow.

Ceremony time…

The ceremony was filled with little pockets of warm and fuzzy and funny moments! I loved this wedding so much!

We did another quick cozy relaxed formal inside when Tim and Nicole snuck upstairs for minute!

I love the speaches at weddings, but the reactions are the best.

a special moment. Nicole’s dad was emotional during much of the day! I am so honored to capture such moments.

Not only did they have a cupcake tier which I LOVE (because I get to sneak on every once in a blue moon but…

they had a very yummy ice-cream bar!

I had the pleasure of shooting Jen and Chris’ wedding! It was actually funny how it all came to be! I was told by my friend Dave that he referred someone to me, but that they might be planning on having a family member go ahead and photograph the wedding. (that’s how I remember it anyway!) Then my friend/past client Kelly, who is a travel agent, had also referred me to Jen, when she met with her to plan her honeymoon. So Jen called and we met and enjoyed a long chat about how Chris and her met. I didn’t hear back for a while. The whole time I had no  idea that Jen was the one that my friend Dave referred to me! So long story short…I am hanging out with Dave and his wife, Trish, and Trish says…”So,I guess you’ll be shooting Jen’s wedding in December! She said she met with you!” It wasn’t until then that I realized that Jen was the one Dave was originally talking about and to me, and also the one Kelly referred to me. Much like Jen and Chris… I guess we were meant to cross paths!

I am SO unbelievably honored to have been chosen to photograph Jen and Chris’ wedding day! Their day was anything but out of the ordinary, with a MAJOR snow storm in the forecast (they were calling for 2 feet of snow…not inches…FEET!!) Jen and Chris went on with the show and it ended up falling into place and made for a romantic, snowy evening! You couldn’t ask for anything more for these two! They are meant to be and as usual…love conquers ALL! Even 2 feet of snow! ;o)

The reception was held at Fox Hill Inn in Brookfield, Ct.

The ceremony was held at the O’Byrne Chapel at Manhattan College, where they both met! Very appropriate!

We had very little time to do the formals in actual light so we ended up shooting some indoors, not too mention it was about 19 degrees out! ;o)

So since we had very little light to work with…I got some moody pics with some off camera lighting and the frigid dark night rolling in…

Then pretty much the snow set the scene for  everyone to let loose and enjoy the moment! It was a seriously fun reception!

Pam and Ron were married at the Guilford Yacht Club and I had a great time shooting their day for them. They are such a wonderful couple. They had an outdoor ceremony and an exceptionally fun reception!

I loved Pam’s dress…simple and elegant.

There were a couple cuties there and I couldn’t resist grabbing a few shots of them getting ready! Adorable!
