When I spoke with Lauran and Carlos during their details appointment a couple weeks before their wedding I knew it was going to be a blast to photograph, and the details seemed like something only one could imagine. The energy and thought that they both incorporated into their day, along with Lauran’s parent’s BEAUTIFUL county farm house nestled in a quaint Connecticut town, where the ceremony and reception took place, was just picture perfect. Lauran had mentioned at the meeting how she was working for a very talented florist, Elisabeth Zemetis, of Blush Floral Design, and that Blush Floral would be creating all the arrangements for her wedding day. I knew deep down, in my detail infatuated heart, that they wouldn’t be anything less then spectacular! Well, sure enough, I was right. As soon as I spotted Lauran’s bouquet on the dining room table my heart started pumping and I was on overdrive clicking my shutter like a crazy woman (not really crazy, but more like seriously excited). I think I might remember a few beads of sweat as well.
In a nutshell, the fabulous Elisabeth from Blush Floral, along with my photography, as well as other equally talented and dedicated CT vendors work , has been featured on the Style Me Pretty home page today and I am super excited for her, as she truly deserves the recognition. Her work is outstanding and classy. I only hope that someday very soon we can work together again!
So check out Lauran and Carlos’ wedding on the Style Me Pretty blog today and get inspired with some vintage details! If you haven’t yet seen their wedding and you are looking for some vintage, rustic and country-ish inspiration for your wedding details, you can check out more pics of their wedding here.
Hope you all enjoy your beautiful **almost** spring like Monday!

I have some VERY exciting news about Creative Image Collections. I just last week finalized all the details with the team at Style Me Pretty and have been invited to join their “Little Black Book” vendor list. I am super excited and I am beyond honored to be joining such an elite group of talented and dedicated wedding vendors across the nation. The Style Me Pretty blog is such a large and wonderful source of inspiration for brides and grooms across the nation, where you can find the latest wedding trends and some of the most superb vendors. I am delighted to be considered one of those vendors and you can check out my little info page by clicking on “Vendors” and “The Best Wedding Vendors” and I am in Inland, CT under photography (of course!) I haven’t yet ironed out all the tiny details for my listing but couldn’t wait to share the good news with you all! Such a HUGE honor and I can’t wait to delve into the Style Me Pretty world and get crackin’ on some creative shoots/weddings this year!
I hope you all enjoy the weekend and Don’t forget to check out the Style Me Pretty blog!
Happy Friday!

It is always such an honor and is very exciting to see images I created published in The Connecticut Bride magazine! It is a nice accomplishment and one that I have worked hard to achieve since shooting my first wedding 8 years ago! I shot Andrea and Nick’s wedding back in May of last year and was so thrilled with the details they put together for their big day that I knew I had to submit them to a magazine. It was a long quite some time since I had submitted the images and frankly I forget I even had. Then I got the email with the exciting news! I couldn’t be happier for the two of them! They really put their hearts and souls into their day and it all fell into place quite perfectly, as Nick states in the story written about them! Congrats to Andrea and Nick once again!
Some of the vendors they chose for their wedding day were:
Springdale Florists, The Plumed Serpent, Inn at Longshore
Coming up on the blog is an adorable NYC engagement shoot! Keep checking back! Hope you all have a lovely Monday!

There is no discreet way to put this…
Yippppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! My work is featured in the Real Weddings section of Connecticut Bride Magazine!
I have been hunting down all the CVS’s, Barnes & Nobles, and Targets to get my hands on the Fall/Winter Issue of the Magazine this week (and obsessively at that) with, sadly, no luck. I know I am not alone though, as Leah, one of my October 2008 brides, who’s wedding is featured in it has been doing the same. (We know that about each other because we have also been texting each other about it for quite some time now!) True gitty girls at heart!
FINALLY…I decided to stop by Tarrywile Mansion, which is less than 2 miles from my home, and grab a copy there! I couldn’t hold out to wait to see it in the stores any longer. It should be out sometime within the next week! I am extremely impatient when it comes to this kind of stuff…I need it like yesterday! The suspense was killing me!
So today was the best Monday I have had in a long time! I for the first time ever, I am looking at my work published in a magazine! Wooohoooo! I didn’t realize how much being published would make me want to push myself that much harder in the wedding photography industry!
This may seem like no big deal to some, but to me, it was a goal of mine that I have had for the past year and I did it! Yipeeeeee!I have Leah to thank mostly, because she suggested we submit her wedding. So together we submitted our thoughts and of course the images I shot on her day! She really put so much into her and her husband Jason’s wedding, heart and soul, and if I am not mistaken, tears too! (when trying on her dress for the first time ;o) I truly am so happy with Leah’s wedding being chosen!
So tonight I am going to celebrate with a nice glass of wine with actually one of my ‘07 bride and grooms at their place!
Have a happy Monday!
