A few weeks ago I photographed Jen’s, Matt’s sister, maternity session. I really wish, being that I am a photographer, that I would have made the investment to have a professional photographer capture me while I was pregnant with my children. I have a few random shots of me with my baby bump, but I do wish I thought to invest in the memories of a time in which I was carrying around the most precious gift in life. My children. I honestly forget what it is like to have some little person growing inside me. It is a miraculous experience. However, I don’t miss the sleepless nights that follow…

Well, I enjoyed photographing Jen and helping her to remember this time in her life.

We started off with an authentic pair of old Buster Brown walking shoes…I mean if this isn’t nostalgic then what is?

Jen’s husband, Tim, wasn’t able to be at the session…but this is him when he was just a newborn himself. I happened to notice the title of the book that it is next to on the shelf when editing and thought it was appropriate in a sense.

We shot at a reservation in New York and there happened to be a couple on horses.

Fairfield Connecticut Maternity Session: Nicole and Duncan

A couple weekends ago I photographed a maternity session for Nicole and Duncan! Just to give you a little background information, I met them at Andrea and Nick’s wedding back in May! Duncan is Andrea’s brother! So they are expecting. We had very little time to plan this shoot since she is due any day now (if the little munchkin didn’t arrive already!) I had a blast with Nicole and Duncan and learned of all the good restaurants to eat at in Fairfield, CT. (I tried Wild Rice…yummmmm! and soon to find out how Archie Moore’s wings are!

So we started off indoors in the nursery!

Nicole had this adorable top, that I have to say isn’t even a maternity shirt. Yeah. I know. NOT FAIR! She looks amazing and glows!

They have the cutest backyard with a fence, green grass and some cute dogs too!

The one thing Duncan said during the shoot that sticks out in my mind is that him and Nicole like each other! They really share a special bond with each other. This will be one lucky kid!
