Happy Saturday All! Most of you are probably not blog surfing today, but this is when I FINALLY remembered to knock off this item on my to-do-list!

So here it is…the information for the next PB&J…

February 25th which is a Thursday! 7pm… @ (drum roll please) my house!

If you are interested please contact me via the contact section of this website or leave a comment (or just give me a buzz)….

This photography meeting is open to all…it doesn’t matter what level. I am hoping to see some of the work-shop goers at it! It is usually very quaint in number, about 10 give or take.

The topic is usually left open…and it is just a fun, relaxed night of learning and networking! I am happy to open my doors to you all!

My studio number : 203-791-8969 / mlabphotos@sbcglobal.net

It is BYOB and I will provide the munchies but if you are dead set on bringing something too I won’t hate you! ;o)

Enjoy your lovely weekend!

Happy Saturday!

Back in July I had the most wonderful opportunity to donate my photography services to the American Cancer Society’s Gala event, Sailing for Hope. It was held in the beautiful town of Litchfield, CT. and it was a beautiful evening filled with love, fun, and good wishes! The Gala had silent and live auctions to  help raise money for the American Cancer Society! The event was such a HUGE success and I was so honored to be a part of it! My Dad  died of Cancer almost six years ago, just 5 weeks before I was to walk the aisle as a bride myself. It was a very difficult and bitter sweet time in my life. I was angry at the fact that Cancer exists and gets the best of people close to us, such as my Dad. So as soon as this opportunity arose, I jumped on it! I was so happy to be able to give back!

So of course I will blog an awesome post for all the awesome people that took time away from their busy hectic lives and schedules to come together for the Gala: Sailing for Hope!

The Gallery to view the images went live this past Monday, August 3rd. You can view them by entering HERE

and entering the password which is  sailingforhope.

Here’s some images from the night!

It was held at The Henderson house at The Forman School in Litchfield.

They had Mario Andretti’s son, Peter, who was there with his yellow corvette, so guests could have their picture taken in front of it! So fun! I took it for a quick spin around the block! Just kiddin’ ;o)

This young girl is a Cancer survivor at such a young age…Her mom Kate Richmond stood behind her as she shared her story about Camp Rising Sun, a camp for children who have been diagnosed with Cancer.

Jan Tenney, accepting her award,  is a cancer survivor herself. Her story was so honest and touching. It truly brought tears to my eyes.
