Fairfield County Children’s Photographer: Meet Little Shea!

Yesterday I watched Shea for one of my best friends, Melissa Wilson, and since today is Shea’s 2nd birthday Melissa asked if I could take the time to photograph her if I had time when watching her…with specific instructions NOT to buy her a new outfit for her birthday! Ha! Melissa knows me all too well! I can’t do anything half way if I tried and there was no way I could take Shea to the mall to go shopping for my own kids and myself, and not get her anything, when her 2nd birthday is today! That would be so mean of me!

So of course I HAD to go to my favorite kids store, Janie and Jack, and when I found this little tu-tu and fairy wings I HAD to get it. It was too darn cute and Shea was all about trying it out…so we went with it! Such a fun shopping partner! I am keeping the wings for Nina but the tu-tu, shirt and little beret are all Shea’s as a little happy birthday gift…sent with magical fairy wishes and love for a happy and healthy year to come! May all your little dreams come true Shea! You’re a cutie patootie and a munchkie pipi-squeak! Seriously, I know that is a lot of nicknames in one sentence, but if you ever meet Shea, you’d be saying the same thing!

Meet little guy Rhys! He’s such a handsome little one! I got to spend some time with him and I always LOVE my newborn sessions for the simple reason that I am very hands on and get to soothe them. I always sneak a kiss in at some point in the session too! How can I not?! Well…I got some great stuff of Rhys, and as usual, I have to thank mom and dad, Angela and Ron, for great conversation during the shoot! I always enjoy chatting with mom and dad during the shoot as much as I love shooting!

CT Newborn Photographer: Little Mircale…Baby Coen!

I LOVE Coen! He is just the cutest! Coen was 10 weeks old here, although he was born VERY early at 2.8 pounds roughly. A miracle baby for sure. I had the best time getting to know him, his mom and his dad, and you can totally tell he was relaxed and just takin’ it all in!

COME ON…he knows he’s cute. ;o)

CT Children’s Photographer: Overdue Kiddie Pics!

Gosh it’s been a while since I have blogged. A lot going on over here in my neck of the woods! I haven’t taken my camera out in a while to photograph my two little ones, Nina and Peyton. I love them so much, but often I feel so terrible about being a professional photographer and not having all that many photos of them. It’ s one of my goals, from this day forward, to capture more moments with them on film. The simple gestures, the crazy faces they make when I ask them to try not to pay attention to me when I am pointing my lens at them, and them just being together. They have such a strong relationship and are the best of friends and individually, they are the most spirited people I know! I love them with all my heart…

I had the wonderful opportunity to take Jessica Creter’s (of Tulaloo Stationery Studio) family pictures, as well as some fun shots of herself for her website and of her ADORABLE boys! Jessica did the invitations of one my brides last year and her work is beautiful! I highly recommend checking out her website! She’s a talented gal! ;o)

I love photographing kids. They keep me young and in shape! It makes me feel like a kid myself!

Connecticut Children’s Photographer: Leo…and a little bit of Sebastian, Mom and Dad too!

Oh how I love EVERYTHING about babies. The way they smell, their little mousey voices, and their chub-a-lub that just couldn’t be so cute if you weren’t also less than two feet tall and drooling! I had the lovely opportunity to meet Leo a while back and do a little portrait session with him. I met his brother first a while back when I did his baby portrait session, and here we are already with Leo! Crazy how life happens to whiz by so fast once kids come into the picture. (no pun intended!)

Meet Leo…He is adorable and I want to squeeze him and give him big kisses…so full of personality!

These are what I would normally call pork chop feet. They are the perfect size with the perfect amount of piggy toes! Having pork chop feet that is a good thing!

Connecticut Children’s Photographer: Westchester Children’s Photographer:Summer Fun with Watermelon and Swings!

As some of you may know, I am a mom to two little monkeys (or munchkies, depending on the day) that I almost never take pictures of…until of course I pinch myself to see if they really are as big as they are, only to find out that indeed…they are.

Peyton’s going to be in First Grade this year and although Nina has yet to graduate from Pre-school (that always cracks me up) she too has grown quite a bit in size and personality! They are two peas-in-a-pod and I adore every second I share with them. This week I made myself take a break from my editing and sit outside with them, photograph them and give em’ an old push on the swings!

They also LOVE watermelon more than you could imagine!

Connecticut Children’s Photographer: Wilton, CT: Will’s 1st Birthday Party!

So Will turned the Big One! Woohoo! Par-tay time! The first time I photographed Will he was still in his mommy’s belly! I did Nicole’s maternity session last year, and now here I am a little over one year later, photographing the man of the hour! What a blast it was to get to hang out with this little fella and capture him on his big day! There were balloons, a caterpillar cake, crowns, yummy food and lots of little cutie pies running all around. But Will takes the cake, no pun intended.

Connecticut Newborn Portrait Photographer: Cayiah, Cayiah, cutie pie-yiah!

I love photographing newborns! I just LOVE it! It is everything about them that I love. Their smell, their innocence, their little animal noises they make! It is really something I adore completely! Cayiah was no exception. As soon as I saw her all cuddled up cozy in her car carrier I melted! She is just so perfect! Peach fuzz hair and rosy skin!

Cayiah is number 4 in the line of sisters in her family. That’s right…4 girls! God Bless Carla and Jermiah! I am so honored to have been able to capture this beautiful peanut at just 10 days old!
