Well, It’s about time I posted something up on the ol’e blog! Geeez! Well, I AM still alive, just have been pounding away on album designs, studio samples, consultations, gearing up for Boston Inspire (Whoo Hoo) and doing some back end work in the studio…like marketing, and oh yeah… a little vacay to New Orleans! My first time going…LOVED it! The food there is ridiculously good and the cemeteries and the history of the city, especially the French Quarter fascinate me! I will definitely be returning to do some shooting there!
So here is the scoop for Emily and Jeremy’s lovely wedding! There wedding was in December (I know…that was like…last year) and I was challenged with lighting, seeing that their wedding was mostly an evening affair, and we all know the evening doesn’t account for much light in the winter months! So I had to adjust to the situation and rely heavily on my off camera lighting, as well as my assistant Kelley…who eventually you will meet up on the blog! She’s “FANTASTIC”!!! I sincerely love her and we’ve become best friends (all together now…Awwwweeeee). Anyhoo…she is always on point and there when I need her…and this day was no exception…
The wedding was at The New Haven Lawn Club in (drum roll please…) New Haven, CT. It was actually a really historical venue and it has a lot of the original lighting fixtures, which was really retro-y. I loved it! Not to mention they decorate beautifully for the holiday season. So if you’re a bride looking to have your wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club in December…DO IT!!! It’ s so romantic and cozy! Of course Emily and Jeremy’s sparks helped with that too!!!

I had a piece of this cake and it indeed…it was as good as it looked! I always know it is going to taste good when I can smell it while I shoot it. ;o)
Enjoy and see you soon with more weddings and some newborns on the way! (not mine though!!)
