Rachel and Dave got married in Avon, Connecticut on a beautiful summer day! The day naturally unfolded beautifully and I enjoyed every second of my time spent with them and their families at this heartfelt wedding. It was truly an honor to be such a huge part of their wedding day and create memories that they will have to share with their grandchildren someday! In other words…their wedding was ridiculously cool and I am making a sample album from their photographs for my studio! ;o) Also, a big thank you to my friend Jay Fleming for helping me cover the wedding and shooting with me! It’s always fun to have the opportunity to shoot with other photographers who are great at what they do, and Jay is no exception!
Bridal Attire: Camille Bridal Couture
Floral Design: A Victorian Garden
Cake: Creative Cakes by Donna
Venue: Avon Old Farms Hotel
Details, details, details…You know I love me some details! Dave gave her the bottle of Chanel with her name and wedding date inscribed on it. What a guy!
(and the dusty roseĀ Kate Spade’s (with a smidge of shimmer) shouldn’t go unmentioned.
Dave also got Rachel a beautiful pearl necklace. See what I mean…what a guy!
LOVED her dress. I don’t often get to see the dress that the bride chose (other than in pictures if they have it) before the big day, but we did part of Rachel and Dave’s Eshoot in downtown West Hartford so we popped into Camille’s where she bought it and she showed it to me there!
Rachel was a doll and had all of her details hanging out for me to capture. I love the shot of the ribbon on her invitation below.
We started off at the Avon Old Farms Hotel for her getting ready shots! Some good light and some pretty wallpaper is all I need!
Rachel is just stunning…STUNNING.
While I was with the girls at the hotel, Jay was hanging out with the guys at the church
and were off…
I got a limo ride over to the church with the girls! That’s always fun! ;o)
love this shot. This is where their journey together begins…
Jay grabbed this shot below…
Right after they said “I do”! They are so adorable.
So if I ever ask you to go sit in a patch of blinding hot light…this is what I am going for. This is with VERY minimal photoshoping. I did minimal adjustments in LR and then a couple minor adjustments in Photoshop. Ā LOVE it. (this was shot in the church, after the ceremony and in a sunlight patch, not man made ;o)
We hit up formal time at the right hour for light…coincidence? I think not.
Back to Old Farms Hotel…
I love the moments between the bride and groom during the toasts. The reactions are one my favorite things to capture during them.
Dave sang to Rachel and said many beautiful things from the heart that even made me tear. ;o)
Congrats to you both and can’t wait to catch up!!!
Have a happy Friday everyone!
