Meet Olivia! She is a beautiful little bean sprout that came into the world just a few weeks ago! She happens to be Matt’s sister’s new little one! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on her for some pics! Such a peanut! Matt and I wanted to give Jen and Tim, Olivia’s mom and dad, a really special gift. Having some experience, I know that babies sure do grow fast, and so we wanted to give them something they could cherish forever to remember Olivia when she first came into their lives. I absolutely LOVED photographing Olivia and hope to do a ton more newborn portraits in the future! To be shooshing and cooing Olivia all day was sheer bliss! Brings me back in time to when my munchkins were just born and my gosh does it go by waaaaay to fast. I honestly have to say, I don’t have many images of when my children were first born. I guess I was too pooped from staying up ALL hours of the night! I am so happy to now be offering newborn sessions for all those mommies and daddies out there expecting a little one! Session information is listed here! If you are interested in booking an appointment or may know someone who is feel free to contact me and book a block of time around the expecting due date. The first 10 sessions booked will receive a reduced rate fee.
For now…Meet Olivia…
Olivia was born just a few short days before Easter, which happened to be her mom and dad’s anniversary too! So we went with a theme!
Hippity Hop Hop…Olivia’s on her way! ;o)
Lovin’ this shot! What a trooper she was! I just want to give her a big smootch! So adorable!
Thanks Jen for a lovely afternoon with you and Olivia! Enjoy her!
Happy Friday!

It isn’t often that I break out my camera to take any personal type of photographs, and although I enjoy my work and have fun shooting my clients, I don’t take my camera out just for “fun” either. My boyfriend, Matt, and I enjoy hiking and frequent Pound Ridge in New York. It is a beautiful natural reservation, and him being the wildlife biologist that he is, it is usually an educational hike for me as well. You name it…if he hears it hooting, howling, or chirping in that park, he knows what it is.It is amazing to me to know that all of this surrounded me since I was young, and I didn’t take much notice to the faintest sound. Now being with Matt, who points that out to me from time to time, has opened my eyes to a whole new way of perceiving nature. Especially snakes…don’t ask, but they have gained a bit of my respect for their place in nature.
I had my camera in my car with me, so I took advantage of some of the sights…just for fun!
Enjoy!
Matt hates it when I point the camera in his direction. I love to do just that, just to annoy him! Mwahahahahaha!
There were little kids playing around while their parents sat nearby…so I snapped a couple.
Happy Thursday!

A few weeks ago I photographed Liz and Frank at Blue Jay Orchard’s in Bethel and then at Tarrywile Mansion and Park in Danbury. We had a beautiful day and I knew the lighting at the hour we were shooting would be prime at Tarrywile so I suggest a second location to finish up the session. Not to mention…this is their wedding venue! I can’t wait until May for their beautiful day and I hope we are blessed twice with this kind of light for their wedding day photos! I love getting to know my couples during the Engagement shoot and Liz and Frank were no exception. They are two wonderful people, who are coming together to make one BIG family (they both are parents of two) and they have excellent taste in pizza! ;o)
ENjoy my favorites from the day and stay tuned for their photos from their May wedding!
These last two are my favs…I told you the light at Tarrywile was on point that day!
Happy Wednesday All!

Well, the Easter Bunny came to our house sometime in between Saturday night and Sunday morning. I thought I heard him in the middle of the night, but I wasn’t positive! I guess it was him after all and he brought umbrellas along with some silly straws and waaaaaay too much chocolate and jelly beans! I think the Easter Bunny is pretty smart because with all that rain we had last week, he must have somehow known that the kids needed their own umbrellas. They were a hit! The kids LOVE them! Good job Easter Bunny! ;o)
Happy Monday!

Happy Spring everyone! I know technically spring started in late March but I don’t think I am alone in thinking that we were teased with warm weather and then last week it was taken away from us like taking candy from a misbehaved child. I have to say, I responded much like the child who had their candy taken away. I moaned and groaned and complained about how chilly it is. Really, April has always been like that but I think the fact that we got a taste of warm weather in March made me wanting more.
I am SO happy the warm weather is upon us again and that Easter is almost here because I know for a fact the Easter Bunny is coming to our house! WooHoo! Yesterday while I was working Matt had the kids outside in the sun and my son decided to pick me some flowers and brought them up to my editing room and one by one placed them on my computer desk and said “I picked you some flowers Mom!”. My heart melted on the spot and I stopped what I was doing, scooped him up and plopped him on my lap and I think I kissed him about 20 times. What a sweetie pie! I think honestly that was the first time he picked me flowers all on his own! I think if he continues with those thoughtful gestures he will make a lady happy one day!
Happy Easter and Happy Spring!
Happy Saturday…off to the Bronx to photograph Rachel and Paul’s Eshoot! Can’t wait to share the pics!
