Recently I photographed Lauren and Matt’s engagement session at beautiful Elizabeth Park in Hartford, Connecticut.  We have been waiting a long time to do this shoot and the summer weather was not cooperating. So we lucked out this time and had a blast! These two love birds have been smitten with each other since their William H. Hall High School days! Not too mention they were long distance for quite some time.

So here they are…still together and gettin’ hitched in a couple weeks!

Joanne Kaltenstein - Hey Meghan, It's always so much fun to see your wedding photos! Hope you're keeping busy...say hi to the little ones from me! Fondly, Joanne
matthias - Classic shots. I like the depth (both in character and visual) you always seem to capture

Back in July I photographed Stephanie and Luke’s fun and sunny (and hot) engagement shoot in Sandy Hook, Newtown CT at the Mclaughlin Vineyard. It was beautiful there and so much fun to shoot! The weather was anything but cool, but the lighting couldn’t have been more perfect! I can’t wait for their wedding at Tarrywile Mansion, which is right down the road from my house. I know if we had this much fun on their Engagement session that the wedding will be a blast!!! ;o)

So here is the picture  story for ya…

Thanks so much Stephanie and Luke! I had a FANTASTIC time getting to know you more and can’t wait until your big day!!!

Happy Tuesday!

Meg

Beyond The Lens - How cute are these two? OMG! I love all of these too! The textures, both of those car shots, and I love the bridge shots too. Great job once again Megan!
Eric Foley - Holy smack down Meg, these are insanely awesome. Looks like these need to be in a magazine!
Leah Ward - This definitely is one of your best shoots!!! I adore the one by the water with the 'hidden' reflection...stunning!! loved her style!
jan-marie sirois - these photos make me realize how important it is to do "engagment photos" i wish we had! your photos are absolutely amazing! i don't know how you're going to choose what goes in the paper! beautiful! can't wait to see them in person!
Mom - Unbelievable photos!!! Excellent photography; settings, lighting, angles and of course subjects (I'm a little biased on that last one). Can't begin to pick a favorite picture! She really seemed to capture both of your personalities. The skirt is awesome, worth every minute of your efforts sewing it! If this is any indication; your wedding album is going to be a piece of art as well as something to cherish always! Love you both!!
Val McCormick - LOVE THEM!!! Awesome, awesome job. The shot of them kissing in the car is incredible and love how you took advantage of that puddle!
Mindy - Incredible photos! I can't wait to see the shots from the wedding itself. You've really captured who they are both individually and as (my favorite) couple! Bravo!
Rebecca Mickolyzck - These pictures are amazing! I love them all. I want some copies!!!! Where do I go to order? Nice job photographer and nice job Steph and Luke! Can't wait for the big day! xoxoxo
Eileen Broderick - Awesome session!! What a beautiful couple. Love them all...especially the close ups of the faces and the ones in the grassy field. Love her skirt!! Great shoot.
shannon - WOW WOW WOW... did I say WOW!!!???!!! Hands down best engagement shoot of yours!!! LOVE everything about it! Love the lighting, the angles, the mini cooper, her cute hand made skirt... I mean come on!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! You really out did yourself this time Megan!!! WOWZA!

Back in July I shot an awesome engagement session in New York City with Michele and JP, who are getting married later this fall! They have been together for a decade (or more…I think) and they are so cute together! Michele and JP’s relationship for quite some time has included NYC, one way or another, and it was important to them to incorporate that into their shoot! I of course, LOVE going to NYC and will jump at the chance to do so whenever possible. Any little excuse I have to go there and I am on a train!

So speaking of trains…We first met at Grand Central which is where they would meet up to see each other when they first started dating!

There was a Nelson Mandela exhibit at Grand Central at the time so I figured it would be cool to include that in a couple shots…

using the ones that I thought would be appropriate for an engagement session!
