Back in December, for Christmas to be exact, my boyfriend’s mom got my son and daughter the cutest outfits as a Christmas present! My son’s birthday party, which was way late this year (he’s born the 28th of December) was this past Sunday and since he was the man of the hour, he got dressed up! He looked like such a little man! So cute! He is the sweetest thing and I think he really rocked this outfit! ;o)
Happy (belated) Birthday Peyton! I love you very much, my little munchkie bum!!! ;o)
Happy Friday!

Here is Kelly. She is one of my old Brides ( not old by age!). Kelly and I met when she was getting married in 2007 and looking for a wedding photographer. I ended up booking with her, and after shooting her wedding, her and I gradually and naturally just cliqued and became friends. This happens at times with my business because I only take on so many weddings a year, and the fact that photographing weddings really requires me to get more personable with my clients, more of a friendship level. The fact that getting personable is one of my favorite parts about my job is just a bonus!
So I met kelly and we became friends! We discuss things like having man-hands, and telling each other the other really does not have man hands! We go to wine tastings (I experienced my first with Kelly by my side!), and we go thrift store shopping, one of my favorite past times, finding something with character, a story, and a bargain! Kelly is like that to me! I got a 2-for-1 deal with her! I got a cool client and an awesome, down to earth, fun and honest friend! I consider myself a lucky lady! ;o) She is the treasure found amongst the dusty shelves of a vintage store. She is worth more than what the price tag reveals!
So here she is…
One of my favorites from the day!
I made Kelly jump and she lost her necklace while in the process. Good thing I have insurance for my business! ;o)
another one of my favorites!
We walked down to the creek and got in the extremely icey-cold water to shoot these. Hence the wader-boots we purchased before the shoot! Thank the Heavens for those!
Okay…so Kelly nearly fell through the ice a couple times when I asked her give me a big jump in the creek. Ooooooopsie! I would totally have gone in after her! (It was only a foot deep)
HOT…so pretty!
So Kelly and I have decided (well more like I decided and Kelly has no choice but to agree with me!) that we are going to do a 4 part series…Winter, Spring, Summer, and then of course, my favorite season, Fall. And then perhaps I will put together a book of the final completed series. I am so excited to see what I come up with in all the different seasons using the same subject (kelly ;o)
Happy Thursday!

Another teaser from Kelly’s shoot yesterday. I am off to my son’s birthday party today so I am sure I will have a ton to share between kelly’s shoot on Saturday and my son’s party!
Enjoy your Sunday!

This pic is just enough to give you an idea about what was involved with Kelly’s portrait session today! ;o)
A fun pair of blue water proof wader boots!
We froze our Batookuses off! ;o)
More to come soon!
Happy Saturday!

Well, I have been thinking I need to keep up with my posting! So I am going to post little pics here and there and let you in on my crazy and totally unpredictable life I lead!
Tonight I am enjoying a glass of merlot and ate some well deserved yummy chinese food after a BIG workout at the gym! I had missed a whole entire week at the gym. I don’t know about you, but I need to workout on a daily basis and love the way I feel after. I think it is the one thing, other than photography (and photography being first), that gives me a break from reality. An outlet so to speak. It is so great to come home after a hard workout at the gym to relieve all my stresses of being a single mom running her own business. Plus just everyday little life things, like the pile of laundry awaiting me, the mess I left in the kitchen sink, and the fact that my car has been warning me for well over a week that I need to buy more Winshield Washer Fluid. I have yet to get that. Ooops!
After my morning mentor session tommorrow, I am off to shoot a really artistic and off beat portrait session in Washington CT. I can’t wait!
So here is a continuation of pics from my daughter reading to herself yesterday! I know I am the mom, but she is soooooo damn cute! I want to eat her up!
TGIF and Happy Friday!
